NEWS RELEASE: Roseville Community Schools Welcomes Two New School Administrators
Roseville Community Schools is proud to announce two new school administrators for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. Scott Meigh has been named an assistant principal at Roseville High School, and Jeremy Baldes is the new dean of students at Eastland Middle School.
Meigh has been teaching since 1999, starting as a middle school teacher in Scottsdale, Arizona. He taught social studies for twenty years at a variety of middle schools and high schools in Arizona before moving into an administrative role in 2020. He served as assistant principal at Sonoran Foothills K-8 for two years before moving to Michigan in 2025. He spent the past year at Eastland Middle School teaching 7th grade social studies.
Meigh said that he is excited to become part of the RHS community and get to know our students, staff, and families. “One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about working in Roseville is seeing how much pride people have in their schools and how deeply they care about our kids.” He added that he hopes to bring a positive, student-centered approach to RHS and be someone that students, families, and staff know they can count on. “Relationships have always been really important to me, and I believe some of the best moments in education come from simply getting to know students, celebrating their successes, and helping them work through the times when things don’t go as planned.”
Blaszkowski said that the district was thrilled to hire Meigh last year. “With his administration background in Arizona, we were lucky to have Mr. Meigh join our teaching ranks last year. His experience will make him an exceptional addition to our high school administration.”
Baldes, a Roseville Community Schools alumnus, has been teaching for 17 years. He began his career student teaching at Eastland Junior High before heading to Detroit, where he taught physical education, computers, and health to K-8 students for a decade. In 2019, he returned to Roseville, where he has been teaching physical education at Eastland Middle School. In addition to teaching, he also served as a union representative for EMS, a sponsor of the Lego and Video Game Clubs, and a middle school football and track coach. He also served as Eastland Middle School’s teacher-in-charge for the past three years.
Blaszkowski said that Baldes’ background at EMS will make him an asset to the school community. “His years spent teaching, as well as serving as teacher-in-charge, will help with a smooth transition. He has the right mindset working with that age of students.”
Baldes said that he wants to build strong relationships with both students and staff and create an environment where everyone feels supported, challenged, and motivated to do their best. “I genuinely care about our students and want every student to feel supported, respected, and valued. I believe in building strong relationships, setting clear expectations, and supporting students with both accountability and understanding.” He added that he wants to help students grow, succeed, and become the best version of themselves. “At the end of the day, my biggest goal is to make a positive impact at EMS by being someone students and staff can count on, while helping everyone reach their full potential.”
Kirk Duncan, who has spent the past four years as assistant principal at RHS, moves into the role of Director of Curriculum for the district. He takes over for Nicole Provo, who has served as the district’s Coordinator of State and Federal Grants for the past seven years. “Ms. Provo was instrumental in getting our curriculum standardized and was an asset to our district,” said Blaszkowski. “We wish her the best of luck in her next adventure.” He added that the duties of the position have changed slightly. “The position will be taking on new responsibilities, with one of the major changes being that Mr. Duncan will work more directly with building administrators in the areas of school improvement, testing, data analysis, and curriculum, while also managing grants and the compliance that goes with them.” He added that Duncan’s experience as a high school principal, as well as his experience overseeing the school’s CTE programs and testing, gives him the experience needed for his new role.
Ann Paul, who has served as the EMS Dean of Students the past year, will move to Roseville Middle School as assistant principal. She takes over the spot vacated by Eric Gauthier, who moved on to an opportunity with another district. “Mr. Gauthier has taken the next step in his career as an elementary principal. We appreciate all that he has done for our district, particularly in the areas of middle school STEAM curriculum. He will be a great addition to his new school community.”
