Will the new Early Childhood Center be conveniently located?

Yes. Fountain Elementary was chosen because it is centrally located, just south of 12 Mile Road. This is in the middle of school district boundaries that span from 10 Mile to 14 Mile Roads.

Will dedicated special education classrooms be included at the Early Childhood Center?

Yes. The Early Childhood Center (ECC) will house all 10 Great Start Readiness Preschool (GSRP) Program and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classrooms. We currently have three ECSE classrooms, with flexibility for future needs. We will also consider relocating our Developmental Kindergarten (DK) and Young 5’s programs to the new ECC.
